Commercial Executive
Tewkesbury
Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for sports, travel, and commercial success? Our Events division in Tewkesbury is looking for a talented Commercial Executive to join our team. If you love data analysis, have a keen eye for creating profitable travel products, and thrive in a competitive market, then this role is for you!
We offer hybrid working and require the successful candidate to come into our lovely office 3 days per week. The office is based in Tewkesbury only 10 min away from Cheltenham.

Our Events division is a unique collection of brands including, Gulliver's Sports Travel - the leading sports travel provider in the UK, Events International - the market leader in providing premium VIP hospitality packages and Howzat Travel - the UK’s largest cricket tour specialist. We create trips to major worldwide sporting events along with premium VIP corporate and event hospitality. Events include all major rugby, cricket, Formula 1, horse racing and tennis events, along with a variety of others sports, concerts and even horticulture.
What you will be doing:
- Source competitive quotes for supporter and team travel from preferred suppliers
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best product offers for our customers
- Create costing sheets and package products for major sporting events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal departments
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of one of the UK's leading sports travel and hospitality brands
- Research competitors, monitor product offerings, and explore new destinations, excursions, and hotels
- Work to contract suppliers under our Travelopia agreements
- Write engaging descriptions and itinerary content for the website
- Support partners with their team travel requirements (Team Travel)
- Create detailed itineraries and travel briefs for teams (Team Travel)
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or a genuine passion for sports is required
- Team/groups travel experience is desirable but not a must
- Excellent attention to detail along the ability to prioritise workloads against tight time frames
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner and ability to build great relationships
- The highest level of tenacity, curiosity, and a strong work ethic with an aim to self-develop skillsets
- Confidence and initiative to identify and implement action steps, fostering exceptional customer service
- A strong appreciation for the operational requirements of a business
- IT literate, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with strong analytical skills
- A positive culture champion, who is energetic and supportive of continuous improvement
