Join Our Team as a Stores Person
Stonehouse
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic engineering environment? We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Person to become an essential part of our team! What You’ll Be Doing:
Inventory Management & Project Support
- Track, allocate, and monitor project parts to ensure they’re where they need to be, and when they need to be there.
- Manage inventory flow efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring fabrication projects run seamlessly.
Logistics & Deliveries
- Oversee incoming deliveries, unpack and verify materials for accuracy, and maintain stock records.
- Assist with collections and deliveries, ensuring our operations run efficiently.
Forklift Operations
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials using a forklift.
General Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly and monthly inspections of the premises and carry out necessary remedial work.
- Assist engineers in maintaining well-stocked vehicles for efficient project execution.
- Keep the stores area organized, clean, and tidy.
- Replenish stock and manage store deliveries and stock takes.
Equipment & Safety Management
- Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and record-keeping of company tools, equipment, and safety gear.
Recycling & Waste Management
- Manage scrap, waste, and recycling materials.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Perform weekly vehicle checks and address any necessary remedial actions.
- Ensure internal and external vehicle standards are met, including servicing, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Support the Office Manager in managing our fleet of vans.
- Schedule routine maintenance and ensure vehicles are clean and in good condition.
Driving
- Occasional collection and delivery of parts and equipment using company vans.
Car Park & Grounds
- Maintain cleanliness and manage parking areas, ensuring proper usage and upkeep.

Key Skills & Requirements:
• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores role, preferably in an engineering or fabrication environment.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to keep things in order even during busy periods.
• Computer literate
• Valid UK driver’s license (for van driving).
• Forklift trained.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and ready to take ownership of responsibilities.

Salary: 13.50 per hour
Hours Per Week: 25 hours a week • Monday – Friday • 07:30 – 12:30
