Quantity Surveyor - Development / Residential Projects - Bristol

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom

A leading development firm known for delivering high-quality projects across the Southwest is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor in their Bristol office to work on Bristol based projects.

You will be supported by a Managing QS and be given exposure to a broad range of development projects both green and brownfield.

Position Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful financial and contractual management of the project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with a focus on new build construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to contribute to the success of a high-profile development in Bristol.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Contract Administration: Administer and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks- support provided in these areas as required.

Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Financial Reporting: Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.

Subcontractor Management: Evaluate and manage subcontractor performance, including payments and variations.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Degree /HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on new build projects.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in relevant software tools.
  4. Certification: Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
  5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 Annual + Car/Bonus/HC/Pension
