Senior Quantity Surveyor - 23643_223257387

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team on a large-scale residential housing development in Lotmead, Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation in delivering high-quality housing projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all project costs, ensuring budgets are maintained, and value for money is achieved. You will work closely with the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all project-related costs, ensuring efficient budget management.

Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor management and contract administration.

Provide accurate cost reporting, including valuations and cashflows.

Collaborate with internal departments and attend design and development meetings.

Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.

Assist in project handovers and resolve any post-completion cost-related issues.

Ensure cost control processes are followed, producing detailed CVR reports.

Act as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
-
HNC in Surveying, Construction, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of 10 years' experience within the construction industry, ideally in residential housing.

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a housebuilder or main contractor.

Strong understanding of commercial management, contract negotiation, and cost reporting.

Excellent knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and subcontractor management.

COINS user experience preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
-
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
-
HND or higher qualification in a relevant field.

MCIOB or RICS membership, or working towards professional qualifications.

Experience with different construction methods, including timber frame.

Previous experience working with strategic partners.

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 Annual +
