Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SGS Create) - Post Number: REQ001073

Stroud

Are you ready to embark on a journey with a transformative educational institution in the heart of the South West?

SGS Create, our innovative provision, opened its doors in September 2023, welcoming 80 enthusiastic Year 10 learners. As we continue to expand, we are seeking passionate and experienced educators and support staff to deliver a first class, broad and balanced curriculum to our current Year 10 cohort and the incoming students set to join us in September 2024.

We are in search of an outstanding HLTA to join our team.

This post demands flexibility from any candidates as the role and subjects supported will vary, and will include PSHE, academic support in core subjects, academic mentoring for our learners and short term cover for our colleagues. We welcome applications from candidates who possess a HLTA qualification or are willing to embark on this training. We are looking for people with a broad range of experience in working with young people in KS3/4 across diverse educational settings. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of SEMH and SEND learners, coupled with an empathetic approach to working with our learners. At SGS Create, we prioritise fostering strong connections with both students and parents, making our learning environment and school ethos truly exceptional.

"Leaders have been courageous in their development of new full-time provision for learners aged 14 to 16. They have committed substantial resources, time and research into developing the curriculum to ensure that it meets the needs of these young learners extremely well."- Ofsted 2024
