7 Top Tips to Make the Most of GlosJobs.co.uk for your Job Hunting

You want to get your new job and here at GlosJobs.co.uk we want to help you to do that, so here are some top tips on getting the most out of GlosJobs.co.uk...

 

1. Sign up for the Daily Jobs Alert Email - You'll only receive ONE email per day at 5.30pm. Select as many relevant job categories as possible to tailor the alerts to your preferences. If a job falls into multiple categories, rest assured that you’ll receive it only once in your email.

2. Click Narrow by location - You might just be looking for a job in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean or other areas, at the top of each page listing the jobs, you can choose your location and bookmark that page. GlosJobs.co.uk now advertises jobs in the Bristol and Bath area. Some of these positions may even offer hybrid working arrangements, which could be beneficial if the daily commute seems too far.

3. Use "Show ALL Jobs In..." on the Homepage - You can view all the jobs in a particular area with the most recent jobs added at the top.

4. Browse Jobs by Company - Click on the navigation link at the top of the website to find all the companies currently advertising vacancies. If a company isn’t currently advertising the specific role you’re seeking, don’t wait for it to appear. Instead, proactively send your CV and a cover letter to express your interest.

5. Keep Track of Applications - Maintain a record of the jobs you apply for. Use the ‘Email yourself a copy of this job’ function available for each job listing. This way, you’ll have a handy reference for future follow-ups. You can also use this to send yourself adverts you would like to apply for later.

6. View all the latest jobs on the New Jobs Page - Check out the New Jobs page, where all recently posted positions from the previous day are conveniently listed for quick browsing. You can view this page by clicking on the New Jobs banner on any page and you can bookmark it if you want to view it regularly.

7. Save all your applications in one handy place - When you send in an application using the GlosJobs.co.uk Apply Now form, you will be emailed a copy of the aplication. In your email system, you can set up a folder, so you keep all your applications in one handy place for future reference.
