About The Team & Role

As a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Officer, you will be responsible for delivering TROs in accordance with legislation, design standards, and council policies. TROs facilitate the legal change of the operation of the highway, including speed limits, pedestrian crossings, and parking restrictions that improve road safety, reduce congestion, and promote sustainable travel. In this role, you will prepare reports, manage correspondence, assist in public engagement, and collaborate with internal teams and legal services. You will provide supervision to junior members of the team, undertake site visits, and audit completed site works. Additionally, you will provide professional support to other teams, offering advice on legislation and regulations.

You will commission TRO work to other consultants, managing the relationship to ensure the delivery of TROs. You will also assist the TRO Manager in the procurement and management of TRO-related contracts.
